WEEKEND 5
OCTOBER 2021
Saturday 9th October 2021

COULROPHOBIA (Opposable Thumb Theatre)
Dik and Adam are Clowns! They couldn’t fight their way out of a paper
bag, let alone a surreal cardboard world. Why are they there and what
are they supposed to be doing? They know something sinister is afoot
and they need to get out before it’s too late.
Jin them on a ridiculous, anarchic, often hysterical and terrifying quest
for freedom.
An 80-
cardboard. Contains disappointing nudity and some language better
suited to those aged 14+.
“It’s impossible not to laugh. My cheeks ached
when I left the theatre!” Total Theatre
“Non-
as it moves seamlessly from the sinister to the touching,
to the outright hilarious.” Stage Talk Magazine
Coulrophobia is a co-
and the Arts Council of England.
Sunday 10th October 2021
Puppets and Circus tricks! Fun for all the family.
11.00am AND 2.00pm at Skipton Town Hall
PINOCCHIO
Steve Tiplady, as Geppetto, uses the objects of a carpenter’s workshop
to tell the tale of the puppet that wants to be a real boy, and the puppet-
maker who wants to be a real father. Pinocchio is carved on stage,
brushes become a fox and the shadow of two saws transforms into a
giant shark. An element of improvisation makes each performance
unique to its audience.
Puppetry, shadows, illusion and especially composed music combine
to create a show with something for all ages; it’s inventive, visually and
verbally witty with a big heart.
A family show for ages 4+.
